This process on how to apply for a Philippine Passport applies to everybody (from newborn on up).

You have 2 choices to choose from to schedule your appointment. You can call the hotline number or you can go online to fill in your application form. Either way, you need access to a computer to print out your application form.

To apply online, visit passport.com.ph website. Provide your personal information for the passport application on the application form. Make sure to fill in all of the required information correctly. Choose an appointment Date and Time but make a note of the requirements that you need to take along with you on your appointment. Check your e-mail for a reference number and a link to print your application form (needed during your appointment).

If you choose to call the hotline number (02) 737-1000, the process is somewhat similar to the online application. A Customer Care Officer will take your call to set-up your appointment. You will also have to provide personal information during the call. The CCO will then provide you with the requirement needed to proceess your application. You will then receive a reference number and a code. Go to their website (using the code provided) to print out your application form to take with you on your appointment.

On the day of your appointment:

Show up 30 minutes prior on your scheduled appointment date to the DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) consular office, do not arrive earlier or later because your application will not be processed as scheduled. Show your application form at the Appointment counter then get a number at the Information counter. Proceed to the waiting section of the Processing area and wait for your number to appear on the monitor indicating which processing window to go to.

After processing, go to the Passport Enrollment Section located on the 2nd Floor, pay the passport processing fees then proceed to the Encoding Section to provide your data.

Last step is to go to the Delivery Counter to pay for your passport delivery fee (to your home) if you do not wish to return to pick up your Passport.
